Good free apps for iPad, iPhone, iPod touch for today include the new free version of “Google Drive” that arrived Thursday at the App Store, according to a Nov 7 report in AppleInsider. “Google Drive” is one place where you can store all your photos and documents so you can share them between devices and access them anywhere. It's just like “iCloud”, but “iCloud” stores your data only between Apple devices.
This new free update to the “Google Drive” app lets users with multiple accounts switch between personal, work, or any other account. There is also now a single sign-in so users can sign in to “Google Drive” and they're automatically signed into “YouTube”, “Google Maps”, “G+” and more. This free app also supports iOS 7 and “AirPrint”, as well as “Google Cloud Print”.
A really good free app update just arrived for “Facebook” too. This free app update lets you now edit posts from your iPad. Before “Facebook” users could only edit posts from their iPhone. With this free new “Facebook” app, using icons to share how you're feeling or what you're doing by way of additional languages is now supported.
These free “Google Drive” and “Facebook” app updates each require iOS 6+ and are compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Both the “Google Drive” and “Facebook” apps are optimized for iPhone 5.
